4 Ways To Bring More Love And Joy Into Your Life

…But these are the times when we need love and joy in our life more than ever.

You get envious of other people, you start bickering more with your partner, you have less energy for your kids, and no one ends up happy.

1: Learn To Love Yourself

…Or are you too busy focusing on your ‘flaws’ and ‘weaknesses’ to focus on what a truly unique and amazing person you are?
Let’s face it, we’re all too hard on ourselves sometimes.
And while it’s okay to feel in over our heads sometimes, what’s not okay is when we start attacking and blaming ourselves for not being ‘perfect’.
After all, we’re only human!
So right now I want you to start clearing away any of these self-limiting thoughts, and start replacing them with thoughts of love and gratitude.
You have so much to offer and it’s time to start acknowledging the special person you are!
A great way to start loving and nurturing yourself is to repeat these affirmations to yourself daily:

- I accept and love myself unconditionally.
- I am a worthy person and I have a lot to offer.

Our relationships with friends and family members are some of the most precious and special parts of our lives.

When we brighten up someone else’s day, it makes US feel good, too.
Hugs, kisses, smiles, thank you’s and compliments are all great ways to make those you love feel valued, supported, and loved.
Just like you have, your friends and family members also have hidden insecurities lurking beneath the surface… And he or she needs your support, love and belief in them to help them to be the best person they can be.
There is nothing more special than helping our loved ones to see their inner strength, beauty and uniqueness.
The more you practice forgiving, accepting, and opening your heart to others, the more they will do the same for you.
By loving others unconditionally, love will flow back in abundance to you!

3: Make Time For Fun
If you have kids, you’ll know how great they are at always making the most fun out of any situation.
They will laugh freely at themselves, laugh with others, give anything a go, and ‘find the fun’ in even the most mundane circumstances.
Fun is so important for our happiness and wellbeing… And as adults, it’s something we often don’t get enough of!
So here’s what I recommend: If you haven’t been having enough fun in your life lately, I want you to go ahead and schedule it in.
It may sound weird, ‘scheduling in fun’… but this is just to get you kick-started. I promise it will be well worth the effort!
It’s true that nothing that takes the pressure off more than having a good laugh with friends and family.
So I want you to brainstorm some fun things you could plan to do in the near future with the people you love.
For example, you could organize a pot-luck dinner with your friend group. This way, it’s half the price of going out to a restaurant, but double the fun!
You could also plan a night out at the cinema, sign up to play a sport you enjoy, surprise your partner with a romantic day trip or night out, or organize a family camping trip…
There are so many things you can do to bring more fun into your life, and the more you plan in time for it, the sooner it will become a natural part of your everyday life!
Remember, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to take a break, and YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to have fun.
So treat time with your loved ones as a gift, and help each other to see the lighter side of life.

4: Make Time To Disconnect
It’s crazy how much time we spend ‘plugged-in’ to our devices these days.
How much time do you actually spend each day away from any cellphones, computers, tablets, and TVs?
It’s a little scary when you think about it!
We have become programmed to be on ‘high alert’ for text messages, Facebook notifications, phone calls, emails, and the list goes on…
This is a BIG reason why we can never really ‘switch off’!
To combat this, try scheduling in time at least once per day when you are away from all of these distractions.
It may be as simple as leaving your phone at the office when you for a walk on your lunch break, playing a game with your kids outside when you get home, or going out for coffee with your friend and switching your phone off.
And if you want to REALLY take a break, try going away for the weekend with your family or friends and leaving all electronic devices at home!
Its seriously amazing how just GOOD this can feel.
You feel so much more CONNECTED to what’s happening in the present moment not having all of those ‘tabs’ open in the background… It’s like a lead weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
